Dance/electronic music is a comparatively new genre which appeals to a younger audience. Promotional posters for the dance genre are often found digitally through the Internet as the majority of their target audience are on there. This means that there are a lack of promotional posters that can be found in magazines specifically besides A-list artists who can afford to promote their products on various platforms. Whereas, the Internet is a cheap and effective platform to promote as it reaches a wider audience.
Although Skrillex and Diplo are individually A-list artists, their duo is relatively new and it is evident that they have not decided to use magazine promotional posters. However, below is an example of the artist's promotional poster for an event they are hosting due to their release of the album.

This promotional poster follows the same concept of the digipak using several images creating a collage of the same format. This collage consists of people, animals and objects, although, these images aren't relevant they attract the eye because it is unusual. In addition to the collage, there are yellow stickers stating what will be at the event which is being promoted. These yellow stickers are also used as the text would be difficult to read on top of the images otherwise. Not only does the colour of the stickers grab the attention of the audience but it also coordinates with the dominant colour of the artists' logo. Overall, the large use of colours is effective at attracting their target audience's eye and conveying a fun appearance. This means that it draws the audience to want to attend the event.
The promotional poster has chosen to incorporate more traditional conventions in comparison to their other media products. Their album title is the first thing read from the top of the poster, followed by their logo. It is also made clear what is being promoted, a marathon DJ party. Lastly, the web address to the artists' official site is displayed at the bottom of the poster for the audience to refer to find more information about the event, the artists or the album. These texts are also presented using the colours of the artists' logo to reinforce consistency and brand recognition.
