Permission From Artist

Permission is required from the artist when creating a music video of a song which is not your own. This follows copyright rules, otherwise it would be identified as plagiarism as the rights over the music are not owned.

The contact details of the artist were found on his Facebook page and we decided to contact his general manager.

On September 23rd, an email was sent to the manager of the artist seeking permission to use the artist's song for our music video and uploading it to YouTube. We briefly introduced ourselves, mentioning our studies, followed by our intentions for the use of the song. The response accepted our request and required that the artist is credited in the description, which we will do so.
