With a complete promotion package for the release of the album, I have created examples of where my media products could be found.
Music Video:

The music video would be primarily found on YouTube as this is the dominant platform for artists to publish their music videos. However, in terms of marketing a snippet of the music video can be found as an advert before another YouTube video. Typically, the advert would be played before videos which target a similar audience. For example, before another music video within the same genre. This increases the success of the advert to gain more viewers on the music video, thus increasing the chance of people buying the album in which the song belongs in. The viewers can access this music video through a link on the advert, this is convenient as the viewers can watch the video on the same platform. It has become more popular within the last two years to advertise on YouTube due to the decline of views in the television industry. According to YouTube, in an average month, 18+ years old spend more time watching YouTube than any television network.
Within the last year, it has also become more popular to advertise on Snapchat whereby a no more than 10 second snippet of the music video is played with the option to watch the whole video via a link to YouTube. This would be a suitable platform to promote my music video due to the relatively young audience of users on this app which corresponds with my target audience of 16-24 year olds. According to the statistics published in 2018 by Omnicore Agency, almost half (45%) of Snapchat users are aged between 18-24 years old.
Album Digipak:

The design of the album digipak would be placed in this layout whereby it would be inserted and folded into a plastic holder for CDs.

The album digipak would be purchased in stores which sell music products, including CDs. However, due to the increasing dependency on the digital media industry, many artists including large artists solely rely on digital media platforms to distribute their music. For example, iTunes is one of the most popular media players where people can stream and download music through a subscription fee. Therefore, this album would be made available on similar platforms as it also appears that younger people predominantly buy their music online as opposed to physical copies in stores.
Magazine Advertisement:

The magazine advertisement would be found in magazines that appeal to my target audience. For example, women, teen and fashion magazines. However, due to the slow decline of magazine buyers, the advertisement could be turned into a poster which could be put up at music festivals with a similar audience. In particular, music festivals which play dance music. By exposing the advert to my target audience, this would increase the success of the advert, thus increasing the chance of people buying the album.
