Focus Group: True Colors

Promotional Music Video:

"The setting of the club is relevant to the genre of music, the colourful flashing lights make it exciting, the idea of it going to is a dressy party is cool but unrealistic as you wouldn't be playing EDM."

"I like the use of special effects throughout the music video as it suits the EDM genre, it keeps the video interesting."

"This music video is quite similar to most music videos from the dance genre as it is set in a club but the special effects and holograms of the artists make the video unique."

"A strong part of the music video is the accuracy of lip synching, I think the artist does this really well which makes the video overall well done."

Digipak:

"This album cover is simple yet effective, it is clear that the colourful tree is inspired by the title of the album."

"I like the overall idea of the digipak but I feel like the title of the album gives it more potential to be more eye grabbing rather than just a colourful tree."

"I like how the use of colours in the music video ties in with the digipak and album title. It makes the artist's work consistent and recognisable. I think the artist's logo and album title should be bigger on the album cover though."

"The design of the C.D. is irrelevant in my opinion, I think the theme of colours could have been applied to it as well. Also, more conventional features could have been added to it such as, the artist's logo, the album title and the track list would be useful too."

Promotional Music Video:

"It is clear who this poster is promoting but it could be made clearer that it is for an album and not a song or tour."

"The use of the album cover for the poster is effective as it makes it recognisable, specifically during the purchase of the album"

"The image of the poster is relevant and I like the consistency through the artist's three media products."

"I like the use of colours in all three of the artist's work as it is relevant and reflects the dance genre."
